Thursday, February 11th will see Theo Massop hosting an “Island Musicians Showcase” at the Red Martini Grill. Seven featured musical artists will converge and take the stage to showcase their talents for the patrons and guests in order to display their talents for the enjoyment of all. All of the artists have either had previous CD releases or have banked huge hours of stage time as road musicians.


The show will consist of a variety of styles which will give the audience a guaranteed entertainment value. Artists like Riley Smith, a singer/songwriter from the Victoria area who is about to release a CD and has opened a number of shows for the band “Greenday” in Canada and the USA will be part of the roster. Nanaimo's own Bobbi Schram, Dave Kilbank, Alice-Frank Campbell, Cyndi C Doell, and Kurt Phillips are also on the line up. All have had CD releases and are well known for their local performances at festivals, coffee houses, house concerts, fund raiser and various venues. Most have their own websites and more information can be found by searching their name on the Internet.


From the reflective songs of Alice, Bobbi and Dave to the guitar wizardry of Kurt Phillips, this is poised to be a riveting and entertaining night. Pete Swann from the Comox / Courtenay area, has played guitar touring all over Canada and spent a number of years as a performing artist in Australia, will be taking the stage along with percussionist / vocalist Jamie Morgan in “Feelers”, one of the performing acts from the Courtenay / Comox area. Exciting young artist Riley Smith and stage veteran Cyndi C well known for her performance with “Mama's Kitchen”, are icing on the musical cake composed of rhythm, rhyme, heart and soul. Show starts at 8PM and the cover charge is only $3.00 at the door. An incredible bargain! Come early for dinner and stay for a night of incredible entertainment.

Friday, February 12th the Red Martini Grill presents "Theo's Trio", Kevin, Dean and Theo Massop kicking out the roots rock rhythm. Cover charge $5.00 at the door for the Friday night show.
