The Next 1st Tuesday Fundraiser will take place on Tuesday Nov. 6 featuring RockCod, East Coast Kitchen Party Show, with Tom Walton, and Phil Comparelli, joined by Chad Pabianek on bass. RockCod will be raising funds for L’Arche.

Donations of foodstuffs will also be accepted or the Comox Valley Food Bank.

L'Arche Comox Valley is located in Courtenay, on Vancouver Island, and is part of L'Arche International, a world-wide confederation of communities for adults with developmental disability. L'Arche communities are known for their unique community ethos that celebrates the gifts of all individuals, and includes people of all ages, with and without disability.

In the Comox Valley, L’Arche CV runs Jubilee House, a home for four adults with disabilities, and assistants who live with them in a family-like arrangement. L’Arche owns and manages the Vanier Suites, six units of affordable housing for adults with disability. L’Arche CV also operates an Outreach Centre that offers day-time programming options for adults with developmental disabilities, and also isolated seniors."

Tom, who sings and plays mandolin, is originally from the east coast, and has had a number of musical projects in the Comox Valley, over the last decade.

Phil, who also sings and plays guitar, and penny whistle, has been a professional musician, most of his life, (13 years of touring and 6 albums with 54-40), and is an inductee in the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame.

They both look forward to bringing their locally famous East Coast Kitchen Party music to 1st Tuesday Fundraisers to benefit L’Arche. Chad Pabianek will be joining them on bass. The music will start at 7:30 with a short set by Coast to Coast, RockCod at 8pm.
