A Day of Foraging: merridale's Cowichan Gin Release

Spend the day at merridale learning how people, birds, and bees forage in our beautiful Cowichan Valley.
11:00 - 11:30 am The Raptors – Meet the birds of prey and hear how they forage in the valley.
11:45 am - 12:15 pm Distillery Tour 1 – Get an exclusive look at merridale’s distillery and hear the story of Cowichan Gin.
1:30 - 2:00 pm Native Bees – Learn about how mason bees forage in the Cowichan Valley from Gord Hutchings, local bee expert and former field entomologist.
2:15-2:45 pm Distillery Tour 2 – Get an exclusive look at merridale’s distillery and hear the story of Cowichan Gin.
These foraging events are free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome. Tastings of the new Cowichan Gin will be available, along with select merridale spirits, at the tasting bar for $5 per person.
Net proceeds from the tastings will be donated to a local charity.
