A Year on Arctic Ice

Doors open 6:30pm, presentation runs 7-9pm.

In 1999/2000 Graeme and Lynda Magor, their 2 1/2 year old daughter, and two other couples spent a year aboard a ketch frozen in the ice on southern Ellsmere Island. The Magors’ presentation will cover the psychology of couples living together in extreme environments analogous to space, and a seen-week sled hauling trip to Axel Heiberg Island covering some of the ground Otto Svendrup travelled when mapping the Arctic for Norway in 1900.

Doors open 6:30pm, presentation runs 7-9pm.
