Innovative instrumental band Aerialists join art-folk alchemist Emily Millard for a collaborative concert not to be missed! Boston-based instrumental group Aerialists meld their ferociously creative harmonic sensibilities and deep love for folk traditions into a post-rock coloured sound called “prog-trad”.
Emily Millard, known formerly as Miss Emily Brown, is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose unique blend of art-folk has been called “inventive”, “haunting” and “beautifully ethereal.” On this collaborative double-bill, Aerialists will add the instrumental textures of clàrsach (Scottish lever harp), violin, and an electric rhythm section to Emily’s set, creating new sounds around her poetic and exploratory song writing.
Emily will lend her unmistakable voice to the progressive folk quintet’s take on Nordic and Celtic traditions. Advance tickets available at Lyle's Place, Ivy's Bookshop and Larsen School of Music. You can also purchase tickets securely online at www.beaconridgeproductions.com
Doors open 6 pm for dinner service, the concert starts at 8:00 pm.
