The Expo is open to the public with free admission with donations gratefully accepted. The Expo features 45+ vendors, offering information about health, financial, legal, and physical-care services and products available in the Cowichan Valley for healthy aging.
It also offers presentations, interactive sessions, light refreshments and door prizes.
Presentations include: Identify Theft and Fraud Prevention, Advance Care Planning Workshop, Simple Tools to Help You Live Well with Chronic Health Conditions, and Creating Heat and Wildfire Resilience for Older Adults.
Interactive Sessions include: Recreational Games, Leisure Activity Sampling, Robotic “Pet Corner” and more.
Adults, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about the healthy aging resources available in the community are encouraged to attend the Aging Well Expo. Last year 400+ people enjoyed the event.
