HYMNS FOR HER is the debut CD for Protection Island’s Andréa L’Heureux, celebrating the sacred and divine feminine in roots, blues and gospel. In concert Andréa will be accompanied by folk veteran Rick Scott on dulcimer and musical whirlwind Nico Rhodes on piano. Their sold out CD release concerts last fall were greeted with standing ovations.

An occupational therapist at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and mother of two, Andréa began her singing career as a soloist and choir member in churches in Saskatchewan. Her writing and song selection reflect her interest in classical, sacred and popular music. She teaches voice and piano and is director of the Protection Island Choir.
