Andy MacKinnon presents "Edible Wild Plant of Vancouver Island"

Andy MacKinnon is a biologist, researcher, ecologist and co-author of the popular field guide, Plants of Coastal British Columbia. He will be presenting in Nanaimo on Thursday March 4th at an event hosted by the Nanaimo & Area Land Trust (NALT). Andy will be exploring the topic of using edible wild plants of Vancouver Island and coastal BC.
This evening event will be held in the Lounge of Beban Park Recreation Centre, 2300 Bowen Road. Doors will open at 6:30pm, with the presentation starting at 7pm. Come early to browse informative displays by the Edible Wild Plants Project and other NALT programs. Refreshments will be provided, and there will also be several free door prize draws. The program will be suitable for both youth and adults.
