Montreal born Angele Dubeau is one of Canada�s most pre-eminent violinists. In addition to an international solo career, she is the founder and director of the renowned string orchestra La Pieta. Named after the girls� orphanage where Vivaldi taught and composed, La Pieta is made up of the best women musicians in Canada. They are frequently heard on the CBC and especially on Radio- Canada. At ArtSpring they perform a concert entitled Myths and Legends, including the music of Philip Glass, Ginastera, Piazzola, Gluck, Francois Dompierre, Lorraine Desmarais, Denis Dion and others.
