Available in both Bronze and Fine Silver, this 5 day retreat incorporates a 3 day program that is designed to give you hands on experience in mastering techniques for hand forming and carving metal clay.

You will learn;

- how to incorporate decorative elements into a balanced (symmetric or asymmetric) design
- considerations essential to working with the various forms of clays' available,
-how to compare the various properties of Goldie bronze or FYI fine silver metal clay, - a comprehensive overview of tools and equipment required, Best practices for working with bronze or silver clay, including: - preparation, rolling, cutting, shaping,layering, drilling and decoration. - hand-forming and carving decorative elements, - firing and shrinkage schedules, - making a bezel setting, soldering and bezel setting a gemstone, Post firing finishing; - cleaning, polishing, adding patina. Make a hand formed clasp using wire wrapping techniques Mastering Bronze Metal Clay or Mastering FYI Fine Silver (July 26 -28th) Under Rodis' guidance, you will produce your own unique design that will incorporate hand forming and carving elements. You will be producing not re-producing a unique bronze or silver pendant.
