Artist Talk and Performance with Lou Sheppard

Open Space is pleased to participate in the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and the Hnatyshyn Foundation cross-country tour with interdisciplinary visual artist Lou Sheppard (Halifax, Nova Scotia) who is the second recipient of the Emerging Atlantic Canada Artist Residency.
During an eight-week residency at Banff Centre in 2017, Sheppard developed a new work titled Requiem for the Polar Regions; an aural exploration of shifting ice masses of the Arctic and Antarctic regions.
Open Space's New Music Curator, Dave Shively, is working with Sheppard to present a musical interpretation of their recent experimental scores as part of this evening.
