Nanaimo Art Gallery offers unique art classes and activities for children, ages 5-11 on Saturdays from 10:30am until noon. A fantastic opportunity to engage and inspire young artists!

Piece by Piece: Exploring Colour & Pattern
In connection with the gallery's exhibition "Current Threads", create your very own woven work of art. Learn about the patterns and colour palette that inspire the work of Canadian textile artists like Kai Chan and Heather Goodchild, and the quilting collective Gee's Bend -and be inspired to weave your story & art together using a variety of materials!

Are you between the ages of 5 and 11? Do you love to play, experiment and make art?
Join us on Saturdays from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
$10 per child / $15 for two siblings

If you have a LEAP card your child may be eligibe for a bursary! Two LEAP spots are available each week; one per family. Each family is welcome to use up to 2 LEAP spots per month.

Maximum program enrolment is 14 students. All phone reservations must be paid prior to 5 pm the Friday before ArtRageous Saturday. Walk-in payments are accepted until 10am Saturday if there is still space.
