CHARACTERS
Mother Goose – Lives in a shoe/boot with all of her children. This is the traditional panto Dame (played by an adult Male!) Needs to be outgoing and comfortable with close audience participation.
Priscilla, the Goose – Non-speaking role, but involves miming, movement and, maybe, some choreography (Female)
Mother Goose’s children: Jack – Principal Boy (very heroic) Young Male or Female Jill – Jack’s twin sister (very sensible) Female Bo Peep – (sweet girl, but a bit absent minded) Female Mary Mary – (contrary teenager) Female Little Miss Muffet – (little girl, very feisty) Female Boy Blue – (boy or young teenager who plays horn, very sleepy) Male Tommy (or Tammy) Tucker – (child or teenager) Male or Female Simple Simon – (teenage boy, a bit of a dolt) Male Plus, up to 6 additional children
Old King Cole – (nice but wishy-washy)
Adult Male Queen Cole – (lovely woman, but again none too bright)
Adult Female Princess Connie Cole – (love Interest of Jack’s – pretty, smart and brave) Young Female Fairy Good Heart – (older, wise Fairy)
Female Pom Pom – (Apprentice Fairy)
Female Chancellor – (King’s man, but Evil Chancellor in disguise)
Male Hook – bumbling henchman.
Male or Female Crook – bumbling henchman. Male or Female
