Barn Dance and English Ceilidh

It's spring-like (on and off) and time to dance, this Saturday!

Live music & a dance caller to teach the dances and prompt us

Join the Left Coast Ceilidh Band and dance caller J.D. Erskine for "Send The Bums Away"
a fund raising dance to send Quicksbottom Morris out of town on a tour of England this summer

Bring your friends and come out for a fun time of:
- called dances -- all dances taught, no partner required!
- a 50/50 raffle
- entertainment at the intervals by Island Thyme Morris and Quicksbottom Morris
- perhaps try your hand with a stick in a Morris dance at the interval
- tea and goodies
- all ages (small people need to operate autonomously to quite a degree)

Don't dance? Don't bet on it . . .
at least come and enjoy the music

What to expect for dancing? Lively, fun dancing which one may take at one's own speed

Live English music and other good tunes
Dances from England & Canada in various shapes -- longways, circles, perhaps a square
All dances taught, no prior experience required, no partner required

Wear comfortable clothing for an active evening, light indoor shoes
Please leave perfumes and cologne at home
