Celebrate the Cowichan River, one of only 20 heritage rivers in BC, at Stoltz Pool (Cowichan River Provincial Park).
Start early with a birding walk at 9am, at the Cowichan Nature Estuary Centre in Cowichan Bay, then head up to Stoltz Pools from 12pm-3pm for more!
Join us for a talk tour of the Stoltz slide restoration site, nature walks, children's activities, info booths, dryland casting, fly-tying and other land-based fishing activities.
For directions to Stoltz Pool, visit: http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/cowichan_rv/cowichanRiver.pdf
This event is part of BC Rivers Day, a province-wide annual event to recognize the importance of rivers in our lives and the many benefits they provide to us --- clean water, spawning salmon, historic trade and exploration routes, a place to play.
