The Orion Series in Fine Arts presents trombonist, Benny Sluchin, in a concert of music for trombone and electronics by Canadian composers Paul Steenhuisen and Keith Hamel. A member of the Ensemble InterContemporain (dir. Pierre Boulez) since 1976, Benny Sluchin specializes in brass acoustics and extended techniques. Sluchin will also give a masterclass on Tuesday, November 17 at 2:30 p.m. with School of Music trombone students. All are welcome to attend.
