Internationally famous Canadian icon, bill bissett, will perform some of his most recent poetry as published in For Kelly, With Love: Poems on the Abstracts of Carle Hessay (Treeline Press, 2014) in commemoration of Victoria poet, Kelly Parsons. Celebrated for his sound and visual poetry techniques (having written over 70 books of poetry), bill bissett received the George Woodcock Lifetime Achievement award in 2007 for his outstanding contributions to literature and he was awarded an honorary doctorate at Thompson Rivers University in 2008.

Peabody award winning Victoria jazz vocalist, Carol Ann Sokoloff, will also perform and read. A selection of poems by Kelly Parsons will be read by Linda Rogers, Victoria�s much published and multiple award-winning former poet laureate and Canada�s People�s Poet.
