BLOCK YARD PARTY, ARTISAN FAIR and OPEN-AIR CINEMA

This is intended to be the first annual event and it is shaping up to be bigger & better than anyone had planned. The 300 Block of Kennedy St have bantered together to CLOSE the street and to organize two community events for the day.

10am - 2pm Yard Sale & Artisan Fair

Huge Block Yard Sale: 30 Stalls - Home Housewares; Garden Produce; Bake Sale and Artisan Goods.

Live Music Performances: On Centre Stage there will be Nicole Johnson, Jason Atkinson, Shaun Patton, and Lost in the Revolution.

Family Activities: Balloon Animals, Face Painting, and Dunk the Resident, plus other amateur street performers.

Drop-In Street Sports: All Ages. 3-A-Side Basketball, Street Hockey. Make a team or just rock up and slot in. Prizes to be won!! Very casual, very fun!!

7.00pm - 8.00pm

Neighborhood BBQ. The BBQ will be on for anybody. Grab a burger or hotdog have a family night out prior to the Open Air Cinema (Family Movie). This will be a great event to mingle with other members in the community. BYO: chairs.

8pm - 10.45pm

Come sit on the road in your camp chair or on your picnic blanket by yourself, with a friend or better still with your whole family, and watch a classic family orientated movie in an Open Air Cinema. What a great experience.

ALL EVENTS WILL BE BY GOLD COIN DONATION.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE DAYS EVENTS GO DIRECTLY TO A BLOCK IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY.
THE 2012 STRATEGY WILL BE AIMED AT A STREET SPEED REDUCTION STRATEGY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY OF NANAIMO.
