Bring snack, lunch and water Young artists are invited for art making, investigation and storytelling. These camps will feature activities inspired by the Gallery exhibition, A Generational Retrospective featuring work by award-winning artist and photographer Sandra Semchuk. We will also visit the Harbourfront Library for storytelling and the Nanaimo Museum to embark on a quest for the cadborosuarus, a sea serpent that was sighted in local waters decades ago! These stories and findings will fuel our imaginations and inspire our art projects. Led by teaching artists, we will design, draw, photograph, paint, collage, and build using traditional and contemporary approaches to art making that explore big ideas, big creatures, and big imaginations!
