Carillon Recital: King's Day
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Join Provincial Carillonneur, Rosemary Laing, for a special live Kings Day concert played seventy feet above the ground in the Netherlands Centennial Carillon. Bring a picnic and enjoy the music from the Native Plant Garden or from one of the many benches on the grounds around the Royal BC Museum.
Kings Day will be celebrated for the first time in 2014, after the inauguration of King Willem-Alexander on 30 April 2013 (what was then still Queens Day). The royal celebrations were first held on 31 August 1885 in honour of the birth of Queen Wilhelmina, and the Queens Day (Koninginnedag) tradition was born.
