Do you issue tax receipts for donations? If YES, then you are a charity and you must follow specific rules and regulations set out by the federal government (CRA). This seminar will take you through the basics into more complicated types of receipting, providing practical advice and examples to deal with those one-offs you’re not sure how to handle. We will cover gifts of goods and services, corporate gifts and sponsorships, split receipting for events, gifts of securities and overall best practices relating to your internal receipting function. This 2 hour seminar is best suited to board and staff who hold responsibility for preparing receipts in their organization.
