Children's Day! July 8th
11 am � 4 pm in Charles Hoey Park. Island Savings Credit Union and various community groups involved with children create activities for the day with pony rides, slides, bouncy castles, swing ride, miniature train ride, dog training showcases, ongoing ball hocke with the Capitals, puppetry, balloon tricks, kids identification centre, Island Savings � Penny the Owl and the 10,000 pennies contest, Norman Foote kid�s songwriting workshop and performance � this is considered a very fun day for all the young ones in the valley.

Noon � Welcoming ceremonies � Mayor, MP, and MLA

12:15 pm � Hula Hoop Demonstration

1 pm � Penny the Owl � 10,000 pennies contest

2 pm � Norman Foote � Juno winning children�s performer

3 pm � DDT Drumline � Young drummers working out
