Dr. Deborah Kamen, Chair and Professor, Department of Classics (University of Washington) will present a lecture entitled: Slavery and Sexuality in the Ancient Greek World.
Dr. Kamen has research interests in ancient Greek slavery, sexuality, and Attic oratory. She has published Status in Classical Athens, Insults in Classical Athens and co-edited Slavery and Sexuality in Classical Antiquity. She also has numerous articles and chapters on sexuality and slavery, and a forthcoming book on Greek slavery.
