Cowichan Family Life 26th Annual Garden Tour

This is a self-directed walking tour of 6 beautiful Cowichan Valley private gardens. The locations are provided only on a pre-purchased ticket. Tickets are available at Buckerfields, Dinters, Volume One Books, Russell Farm Market & Garden Centre, Third Edition (Mill Bay), Black Door Decor (Ladysmith), and Cowichan Family Life (250-748-8281).

There are a range of garden sizes and styles. Visit a city-lot garden started 15 years ago from scratch with four distinct areas; enjoy a single acre site that focuses on an edible garden using permaculture principles and other sustainable living systems; see a two-acre garden started in 1979 that transformed a treed property into a naturalized space with winding paths, ponds, an orchard, mature flowering shrubs; and one with over 350 rhododendrons. Add a visit to the two other unique gardens and you will be inspired! Master Gardeners and the garden owners will be on hand to answer your gardening questions. Raffle tickets available to win one of 16 great prizes (total value over $1300) and a 'blind auction' offering a chance to bid on 3 items: a huge quilt created exclusively for the event by Moire Porter ($400), a framed Jennifer Lawson print ($575), and a Style Sense Gift Certificate ($500).

Cowichan Family Life has been hosting this annual fundraiser for 25 years and is their major fundraiser to support their affordable counselling services and programs. Grab your favourite garden enthusiasts and enjoy the day.
