August Nielsen (9June 1865- 3 October 1931) was a Danish musician, conductor and violinist, widely recognized as his country's most prominent composer. Although his symphonies, concertos and choral music are now internationally acclaimed, Nielsen's career and personal life were marked by many difficulties, often reflected in his music.
Sir Edward Elgar (2 June 1857- 23 February 1934) was an English composer, many of whose works have entered the British and International classic concert repertoire. Among his best known compositions are orchestral works including the Enigma Variations, the Pomp and Circumstance Marches, and concertos for violin and cello and two symphonies.
Ralph Vaughan WIlliams (12 October 1872-26 August 1958) was an English composer. His works include operas, ballets, chamber music, secular and religious vocal pieces and orchestral compositions including nine symphonies, written over nearly fifty years. He was influenced by the English folk song.
