Friday, November 15th, 2013
7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Genetically engineered foods are often touted as the way to feed the world in the future. However, to promote a discussion on this topic, Dr. Thierry Vrain will explain how genetic engineering of foods is done and why it is done. He will also speak to the research that is often not readily available to consumers which concerns some possible health effects of genetic engineering. Of course, because of his background in science, Dr. Vrain is able to understand both pros and cons and will be available to answer audience questions and embark upon a discussion. Truly, the purpose of an event of this kind is both to educate and to promote a community discussion on GE Foods.
