Eleven spectacular properties, one wild forest, and three community sites welcome you for a weekend immersion in beauty, design, craftsmanship, and island culture. This beloved tour, dating back to 1992, raises funds for land conservation, while also inspiring visitors to garden more gloriously, design more creatively, and try some of the sustainable practices they see on the tour, from renewable energy to water conservation to upcycling. You'll see cozy cottages, sleek contemporary homes, sweeping ocean and mountain views, serene ponds, centenarian fruit trees, mossy hollows, lush vegetable and herb gardens, a Mediterranean garden, murals, sculpture, a winery, an aviary, woodworking shops, and so much more. You can take the self-guided tour at your own pace over one or two days, stopping for lunch at a local eatery or pre-ordering a picnic to eat at one of the tour sites. Cyclists are rewarded with a free raffle ticket for a generous gift basket, and the Denman bus goes to all the tour sites. This tour is a love letter to islanders’ deep relationship to the place they call home—come join us and reconnect to your own love of nature, home, and creativity.
