The Early Music Society of the Islands presents Esteban La Rotta (Montreal): Birth of the lute soloist at Oak Bay United Church on Sunday, November 24.

Esteban La Rotta, one of Canada�s leading players of early plucked instruments, will perform music from the Codex Faenza, the Buxheimer Organ Book and other sources as well as pieces from the newly discovered Wolfenb�ttel Manuscript, the earliest known music written specifically for the lute.
