Canada’s east coast meets the west coast in music, fun and food when Irish Newfoundlander Fergus O’Byrne, of Ryan’s Fancy, comes back to Parksville, by popular demand. Fergus joins Newfoundland’s balladeer, Jim Payne, for a special, organWORX at Knox United Church, event on March 10. It promises to be an exciting evening of music, stories, fun and tidbits of Newfoundland cuisine!

Remember that incredible concert last year? Great Irish/Newfoundland music - dancing in the aisles - wonderful Newfoundland appetizers? Well, now you can experience it again, and Fergus has brought along his good friend Jim Payne, to join in the festivities of what will be a never to be forgotten experience!

The musical program will feature the legendary folk songs of Canada’s most easterly province, sung as only Fergus and Jim can do. These are two of Newfoundland’s most respected and multi-award winning performers, who combine instrumental prowess and humorous repartee to cover a broad spectrum of Newfoundland folk culture, including songs, stories, and dance tunes. Their repertoire includes rousing sea shanties and work songs, poignant ballads, comic ditties, folk tales and recitations, and toe-tapping jigs, reels and polkas on a variety of instruments. You're sure to sing and dance your way through an amazing musical journey! The humorous and informative Newfoundland banter of Jim and Fergus ties all of this extraordinary music together for an evening of great entertainment.
