Eat Think Vote Duncan

The Cowichan Green Community (CGC) is proud to join Food Secure Canada’s ‘Eat Think Vote’ campaign. Calling on all citizens and candidates running in the federal election to share a meal together and engage in dialogue on local and national food issues, CGC invites the community to attend a non-partisan food-focused All Candidates Forum and community potluck in downtown Duncan.
Focusing on issues such as zero hunger and support for sustainable agriculture, we hope this event will help inform our community about the federal candidates and party’s goal for addressing and supporting local and national food security issues.
Given that food security is linked to and affected by so many areas of our society – from the environment, health, economy, transportation, trade, culture, land access and more – CGC sees food as an important topic to address in this year’s federal election
The evening will commence with a community potluck at 5pm. The All Candidates Forum will start at 5:45pm with an opening presentation by the Cowichan Green Community. This will be followed by a moderated question and answer.
Guests are encouraged to bring a potluck dish to share and a food-focused question.
This is a free event.
However, to help cover costs, donations to CGC will be accepted at the door.
