In every physical action, unless it is purely mechanical, there is concealed some inner action, some feeling.” (Constantine Stanislavski) With Samantha Letourneau Live Music by Tracy Myers ,Paul Manly, April Lauire and Stephen Wolf Building off of the previous dance Jam “Mindful Movement”, facilitator Samantha Letourneau will guide participants to explore non-habitual, "out-of-the-box" spatial and dynamic aspects of movement, inspired by Laban Movement Analysis.

This workshop takes a playful and strategic approach, enhancing awareness, clarity, and feeling in the mover. Expand your self-understanding, artistic expression and develop greater body knowledge.

Letourneau’s training includes Introduction to Laban Movement Analysis from Certified Movement Analyst (CMA) Donna Redlick, a Master in Adult Education, through St Francis Xavier University, focusing on the transformative possibilities of art engagement, Vinyasa yoga and contact dance training, from dance artist, and yoga practitioner Jennifer Mcleish Lewis, and contemporary dance training with a focus on bio- energetics and healing from UK/ Vancouver based dance artist and choreographer Clare Cunningham. Samantha's work has led her to developing innovative arts based community programming in partnership with various not for- profits and art organizations in British Columbia and Quebec.
