On November 7th, CWAV Society is hosting a fundraising Gala. CWAV is hoping to build safe, affordable housing for women and children who are leaving abusive situations. If we are successful in our fundraising, the project will provide 20 units of supportive housing for women and kids who need a year or two to get their feet on solid ground and 20 additional units of affordable rental apartments.

CWAV's counselling, crisis, pre-employment and community development programs would be housed the main floor, giving clients ready access to those services.

The Gala will start at 6 PM for cocktails followed by a 4 course gourmet dinner by George Gates at 7.

There will be a live Auction at 8 and a concurrent silent auction as well as a 50/50 draw. The classic and modern rock band Rainwood Steel starts at 9. We'll dance till 1 AM! Stormin' Norm Jackson will be your MC for the evening and the venerable Bill Keserich will be our auctioneer. We have some amazing auction items including weekends away to Ucluelet, Tofino, Sooke and even a Maple Bay float home, art, and dinner out with a chauffeur and an incredible car. The list goes on and keeps on growing.
