We wanted to organise a mountain bike race that more people would want to participate in. Most people have a bike that will work for this type of event. Call it an all mountain bike or a trail bike, something with 5 or 6� of travel that can get you to the top of the hill and still be fun to ride down.

The Hartland Enduro is an event that mimics your usual Sunday mountain bike ride. You climb to the top of the hill at your pace and you race your buddies to the bottom. You will be timed on the descents and you can regroup and climb with your friends at your own pace. We have chosen some of the best single track descents that Hartland has to offer. Sure there will be a few top riders that take this event very seriously, but we hope that most riders will come out for the fun, the feeling of accomplishment, and the good trails.

The course will consist of 3 �transfer stages� and 3 �timed special stages�. Riders will have a generous amount of time to �transfer� to the top of each stage however they must check in at each stage before a certain cut off time. After checking in at each stage riders will be sent out in one minute intervals down the �special stages�. The overall race time for each rider will be the sum of all special stage times. The winner will be the rider with the lowest overall race time.

It is up to each rider to ensure that they make it to the top of each stage on time. Bring a watch. You will be penalized 2 minutes if you do not make your transfer cut off time.

Registration Details:

- Registration opens January 31st 2013 and closes July 17th at 10:00pm.
- $30 Early bird registration in effect until May 31st at 10:00pm.
- Regular registration fee is $50. June 1st-July 17th.

- Riders must have a valid 2013 Cycling BC Race license (UCI or Citizen).
- One day licenses are available for $10 during registration.
