Homeless Harold, singer/songwriter/busker, whose true story of a life turned around by musical encounters, performs at the Duncan Showroom on December 17.
Tickets are $12 in advance at http://www.showroomproductions.ca/buy-tickets and $15 at the door.
It is the result of the community of Duncan, BC, pulling together to give an opportunity for those who played music on the city streets to move ahead by sponsoring the First Ever Busker’s Burn-Off; a musical performance competition with a first prize of 8 hours of recording time at Woodshop Studios in the Cowichan Valley. Spearheaded by Eugene Smith of Ronnie Hawkins fame, the “Burn-Off” was held at the Duncan Showroom in February of 2015.
Harold was the eventual winner of the event, and has now put together a small collection of his original songs showcasing several of his earlier songwriting efforts, combined with three of his later labors of love, each written at Warmland House during his time there.
