Join Cari and her friends to celebrate her Vocalist of the Year Award (2016 Vancouver Island Music Awards - VIMA).

This evening promises passionate and energetic performances and two new releases! You’ll be the first to:

- SEE Cari’s stunning new music video ‘Gracias a la Vida’, created with Adrian Dolan and Richard Moody, shot by Trent Freeman (The Fretless).

- HEAR her new, original song ‘Open Our Hearts’ - about learning to forgive after lost love.

Joining Cari onstage are good friends and musical collaborators Richard Moody (violin), Adrian Dolan (accordion & mandolin), Sean Drabitt (bass), Kelby MacNayr, (percussion) and Sara Marreiros (vocalist).

“I’m honoured to receive VIMA’s Vocalist of the Year award,” says Burdett, “This concert is a time to celebrate the award and to express my gratitude, to my friends and my Cowichan Valley community, for their ongoing support.”

The concert features songs from Cari’s Album ‘Magnolia’- such as Edith Piaf’s “Le Vie en Rose,” Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now”, “Loveliness” by Anne Schaefer - and numerous new tunes.

The Duncan show is the first stop in Cari’s ‘Celebration Tour - Summer 2016’ with stops planned for Sooke, Pender Island, Salt Spring Island and Vancouver. Highlights include; Featured Vocalist at Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra’s Summer Fling and an evening concert at Butchart Gardens, complete with fireworks.

Cari’s soaring voice will stir your heart as she takes you around the world through song. Her unique style, ‘Dramatic Gypsy Cabaret’ is a vibrant, genre-defying, fusion of jazz, folk, opera and world music; seamlessly blending multiple languages with a timeless, theatrical air.
