Join the thousands of spectators and cheer on your favourite racers as they race down Franklyn Street, downtown Nanaimo. Additional activities, local vendors, and a concession awaits!

The Kids Division is the true heart of the event. It sees 6-12-year-olds, usually with the help of family and friends, build their carts using a customizable kit supplied as part of the entry fee. These young racers take to the street multiple times over the event for the goal of winning one of several prizes for Fastest, Most Creative Vehicle, or Best Dressed Pit Crew. Family and friends are encouraged to join in as pit crew and help cheer your racer on to victory!

The Corporate, aka “Big Kids” Division is about staff fun, bragging rights and the opportunity to take home one big trophy! 20 spots are open to local businesses who are looking for fun ways to gain some great PR, offer their staff a great team-building exercise and give back to the community through their entry fee of $500. All proceeds go to the Child Development Centre Nanaimo.

Corporate Division cart construction rules see racers being able to fully customize their carts (no kits are used or provided) so as to maximize speed and creativity!
