Human Centered Design (HCD) is an approach to social innovation that has a proven track record for developing imaginative solutions to some of societies most complex challenges. See www.designkit.org/case-studies for some compelling stories.
The best way to learn Human Centered Design is to practice Human Centered Design. This full-day interactive workshop will explore the mindset and methods of HCD. Participants will get the opportunity to use HCD methods to work on a design challenge relevant to the local not-for-profit community. We will also discuss how HCD might be applied to participants own complex challenges. By the end of the workshop participants will understand how HCD provides an answer to the ambiguity and uncertainty synonymous with the complex social challenges of the 21st century.
