The Canadian Federation of University Women Parksville-Qualicum is excited to invite the public to a special event marking International Women’s Day 2020! This global day of recognition is dedicated to the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. While celebrating those achievements, we reflect upon how the courage and determination of ordinary women results in their extraordinary historical roles within our community, as well as around the world. Our inspirational guest, Dr. Louise Mandell, QC, LLB (hon), Chancellor of Vancouver Island University, is a renowned expert in Aboriginal Law and Treaty rights. Mandell discusses broadening women's rights and overcoming challenges through the lens of her own experience as she presents, "Helping One Another Come Home." Musical entertainment, refreshments, door prizes, and more.

Doors open at 1:30 pm for meet and greet.
