The Harbour City Jazz Festival is an annual celebration of Nanaimo’s talented jazz students from John Barsby Community School, Wellington Secondary School, and Nanaimo District Secondary School.
The festival gives students the opportunity to perform and showcase their talents for the community in a high-end concert venue. Each year, the festival welcomes a highly-renowned guest artist.
This year—the 19th—the festival is very proud to feature renowned jazz vocalist Dee Daniels. The night will feature performances by ensembles from each school as well as collaborations with their instructors and Dee Daniels. Don’t miss this chance to see some of the best present and future jazz talent together in one of the country’s premier concert halls!
Note: Ticket revenues go towards fundraising efforts for the school music programs.
