Andy Everson is excited to announce the 25th Anniversary of Le-La-La Dancers. Andy has been dancing with this cultural group for the past 20 years and would like the community to come witness this exciting First Nations cultural celebration with a special performance from the Git Hayetsk Dancers.
The Le-La-La Dancers, of the Kwakwaka'wakw Nation, do not normally perform in the Comox Valley and are looking forward to sharing in this celebration with you. Please join us as we celebrate 25 years of cultural dancing.
Le-La-La Dancers is a non-profit Society that was formed in 1987 with a mandate to help First Nations' youth, through the teachings of songs and dances and providing opportunities to perform and travel, to gain skills and confidence to achieve the highest standards in their educational endeavors. Since its inception, members of Le-La-La Dancers have travelled the world sharing traditional stories, songs and dances.
Le-La-La Dancers is currently fundraising to bring members on a cultural exchange to New Zealand. I-Hos Gallery, located on the Komoks First Nation, has graciously offered to host refreshments, door prizes and a silent auction to help with the fundraising efforts. Please visit the I-Hos Gallery, from Saturday Sept 8 to Sept 15, to participate in the auction. Hours of operation are Mon to Sat 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 12-5pm.
Everyone is welcome so bring family and friends to enjoy!!!
