LIMINAL: a hauntingly ephemeral contemporary work
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Canadian choreographer Constance Cooke incorporates projections, paper and fans in her upcoming piece, Liminal, pushing the boundaries of dance and digital media.
Cooke created the piece with dancers from across Canada: Jung-ah Chung (Victoria), Kayla Henry (Vancouver), Mark Sawh Medrano (Montreal), Renee Sigouin and Brett Owen. While 12-foot images are projected on the back wall, the performers occupy, explore and transform the performance space in their search for meaning, cohesion and their own personal mythology.
Cooke collaborated with multiple artists to create Liminal’s mixed-media setting, including Pamela Millar (projections), Shirley Grierson (score), Jenny Farkas (set design) and James Insell (costumes).
Tickets for this hauntingly ephemeral interdisciplinary work are available online at Ticket Rocket or at the door.
