Definitely not your average painting workshop! Explore live painting with Russ Morland aka LURK, owner and operator of Nanaimo�s very successful Electric Umbrella Tattoo Studio and Art Gallery. This is a rare opportunity to learn from a highly sought after artist working in street and underground art styles. Drawing inspiration from comic book/animation genres, learn how to use abstraction and expressive techniques to convey a narrative. Develop your unique painting style through hands-on experimentation with a variety of painting materials and a bold colour palette, learn how Russ made a name for himself in skateboard, art and tattoo culture through his easy, casual teaching style, and take home a canvas piece all your own.
