The Cowichan Wooden Boat Society is pleased to be offering a Marine Photography Course with instructor Cim MacDonald.
If you are a beginner, or if your photos of waterfront scenes and boating activities are not turning out as well as you would like, here is an opportunity to learn the correct techniques from a well qualified and experienced instructor.

Cim MacDonald is the Curator of the Chemainus Murals, a signature member of the Professional Photographers of Canada, the Northwest Watercolor Society and is an Associate Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. Painting awards include awards of excellence and merit since 1985. Macdonald was the recipient of the B.C. Arts and Cultural Award 1999 and the Ted Mason Memorial Award in 2000. MacDonald's photographic awards include a silver medal for the best in the Nature in 2001 a gold medal in 2010 for best in theme category from CAPA. In 2008, 2009 and 2010 she was awarded trophies from PPOC. In 2009 she won `Best in Show`for a photograph called `Clematis` at the prestigious Sooke Fine Art show. In 2011 her photograph "Reluctant Bride" won Best in show for works on paper at the Sidney Fine Art Show. Her artwork hangs in collections world wide including those of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the former Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia
