Matt Andersen has been earning a steadfast audience wherever he graces the stage. Matt's sprawling blues, roots and rock musical hybrid with his soulful voice and astonishing guitar-playing has sparked a phenomenal buzz across Canada!
Matt won the 2010 International Blues Challenge in the birthplace of Rock N' Roll and home of the blues, Memphis, Tennessee. Matt is the first Canadian ever to win the IBC in its 26 years of inception.
Matt was nominated for four East Coast music Awards in 2011 (winning in the category of Blues Recording Of The Year and Male Solo Recording Of The Year) as well as winning in two categories at the 14th Maple Blues Awards (Entertainer Of The Year and Acoustic Act Of The Year).
