During her time in Europe, Michelle Mares appeared with a number of orchestras including Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Basel Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish Chamber Orchestra and the Netherlands Radio Chamber Orchestra. At the Big Fish Music Festival she will be accompanied by Suzanne Snizek on flute who has performed with the ESO (National Orchestra of Taiwan). After returning to the US, she won first prize in the Mid-South Young Artist Flute Competition and became an active performer in the Philadelphia region (including the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Harrisburg Symphony, Delaware Symphony, Trenton Symphony). She has recorded for "Kindermusic," "HBO" television productions, and the "NFL Presents" for ESPN. She also performed with the Moody Blues and Roger Daltrey and served as co-principal flute of the Bel Canto Opera Company of Philadelphia. Ms. Mares will also be accompanied by Elizabeth Lutz, soprano, who graduated from the Victoria Conservatory of Music /Camosun Programme, under Marilyn Wuis. Later studying in Toronto, New York, and Salzburg. Liz & Michelle met when they were both studying in Salzburg. She has performed with Pacific Opera, Toronto Opera Repertoire, Leah Posluns Theatre, Scarborough Music Theatre and the Okanagan Symphony. Roles include Nursing Sister Mozart's SUOR ANGELICA, Fiordiligi Mozart's COSI FAN TUTTE, Donna Elvira Mozart's DON GIOVANNI and Belinda in Malaspina Choir's production of Purcell's DIDO AND AENEAS.
