In celebration of the Winter Olympics, this month we're playing the feel-good Olympic movie "Eddie the Eagle". Inspired by true events, Eddie the Eagle is a feel-good story about Michael "Eddie" Edwards (Taron Egerton), an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself - even as an entire nation was counting him out. With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach (played by Hugh Jackman), Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. From producers of Kingsman: The Secret Service, Eddie the Eagle stars Taron Egerton as Eddie, the loveable underdog with a never say die attitude.
Movie Night at the Market is FREE of charge! We just as that you make a donation of any amount to KidSport Greater Victoria. Come early to have some dinner from the Market vendors, and get your spot! Our regular Market chairs will be available, but we encourage you to bring your own camping chair, fold up chair, etc....as we do have a limited number of seats available!! We'll also be selling bags of Kernels Popcorn for only $2 per bag! Looking forward to seeing you all there!
