One of Canada's greatest rock and roll bands ever, with more than 40 years of longevity, makes their way to the Tidemark Theatre in Campbell River on April 16th.
Myles Goodwyn, one of the founding members of April Wine in 1969, still heads the group as lead vocalist and guitarist. In their 40 plus years, the group has recorded more than 20 albums, has sold millions of albums, played countless concerts from small clubs to major stadiums around the world, and has amassed dozens of awards including induction into the Canadian Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
The concert at the Tidemark Theatre will feature their hits from their mix of straight ahead rock and roll to their power ballads. These are the timeless songs that have become the music of our lives..."You Could Have Been a Lady", "Roller", "Oowatanite", "Sign of the Gypsy Queen", "Just Between You and Me", "I Like to Rock", "Like a Lover, Like a Song", "Tonight is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love". to name just a few of the hits. Many of their tunes are staples on classic rock radio stations in Canada today.
Still in fine form, after all these years, you don't want to miss Myles Goodwyn along with Brian Greenway, Richard Lanthier, and Roy Nicol who make up April Wine.
