A brief AGM (we promise) will be followed by the presentation: Marching to Different Drummers: Three Stories of Little-Known Nanaimoites This presentation explores the lives of Elsie Hall, Nanaimo’s first female councillor, Henry McFarlane, an inventor and lyricist and Gordon Martin, communist, thwarted lawyer and tv repairman. Join us for this entertaining and informative talk about these obscure Nanaimoites who are definitely worth knowing more about. Light refreshments served. Non-members warmly welcomed.
