Nanaimo Fiddle Society Free Concert and Dance on the Grass

This FREE family-friendly fiddle concert of traditional toe-tappin' Canadian-Cape-Breton Style music will be followed by a family Barn Dance on the Grass. This outdoor concert on Nanaimo's downtown waterfront begins promptly at 6:00 to be followed by the dance which will end at 7:30 pm. Bring your lawn chair and a water bottle and enjoy the sunset afterwards.
This is not a square dance. All dances will be taught in circle and line formations and a partner is welcome but not necessary. This will be a perfect family-friendly evening to entertain summer visitors.
People who prefer not to dance are welcome to sit back and enjoy an evening of live fiddle music suitable for the young and the young at heart.
People who wear something western will receive a shout out from the live fiddle band.
