Nanaimo Idol is an all ages singing contest based solely on talent, presented by Indie Entertainment West Coast Vocal Academy and Downtown Nanaimo Business Improvement Association. This is an all ages event and Auditions will be held at Harbour City Theatre at 7pm and will have an audition fee of 10$.

You may audition accapella, bring an mp3 track, have accoustic accompaniment, or use a karaoke video from Youtube.

Please email us at [email protected] to let us know you will be participating in the auduitions.

If you cannot make it to the evening of auditions, we will CONSIDER accepting video auditions sent to [email protected] along with the 10$ audition fee.

Participants will be competing for the chance to sing LIVE with The Femme Fatales at Diana Krall Plaza on July 23rd for Bathtub Weekend. Other prizes include an artist development package from Indie Entertainment and Jona Kristinsson, acting classes from Kismet, and a photo shoot with Yeosmith Studios.

The first and second LIVE PERFORMANCE round will be held July 6th and 13th at The Queens Hotel and the third and final round, where we will be choosing the 1st and 2nd place winners, will be July 23rd at Diana Krall Plaza on Bathtub weekend.
